The Blues have a lot in common with the Complaint or Lament Psalms as they are called. These are a response to injustice and sometimes an expression of downright depression. The scholars who study scripture say that all the laments and complaints in the book of Psalms are to let people know that God wants to hear the anger and pain. It doesn't have to stay hidden. So, read a psalm or sing the blues - or both. It's good medicine. A resource on this topic can be found in the article linked here.
